چکیده

In this study, two physical exercises (dynamic running and static holding) were performed by 10 participants under 6 testing conditions of 3 load levels for each exercise. A good correlation was obtained between Borg’s RPE 6-20 scale and the heart rates (HR) during dynamic exercises where the regression equation with an R-square was 0.712 (p<.001). The HR correlation was insignificant during static holding exercise (p>0.05). The finding suggested that caution should be considered when using HR as an indicator, because the body discomfort may be underestimated during locally static exercise.

The effect of functional fatigue on dynamic and static balance in boy students with different plantar arch

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of functional fatigue on the dynamic and static balance of male students aged 15 to 18 with different plantar arch. To measure the subjects' foot arch, the Navicular Drop Test was used. The subjects were then randomly divided into three groups of 22 members with different foot arches. Later on, SEBT test, Modified Stork Balance, Fatigue Protoc...

The Effect of Core Stability Exercises on Static and Dynamic Balance in Healthy Older Men

Abstract Introduction: Disturbance in maintaining balance and controlling posture is one of the consequences of aging, which, with changes in standing and walking patterns, causes a decrease in functional readiness in the elderly, which leads to a decrease in the sense of balance, loss of coordination, and muscle weakness in these people. As a result, it causes many problems such as frequent f...

The validity of submaximal ratings of perceived exertion to predict one repetition maximum.

The One Repetition Maximum (1-RM) test is commonly used to assess strength. However, direct assessments of 1-RM are time consuming and unsafe for novice lifters. Whilst various equations exist to predict 1-RM, there is limited research on the validity of these equations. The purpose of this study was to assess the validity of using sub-maximal ratings of perceived exertion (RPE) to predict 1-RM...

Comparative Study of Balance Exercises (Frenkel) and Aerobic Exercises (Walking) on Improving Balance in the Elderly

Introduction: Balance in the elderly is one of the important issues, and imbalance can create irreparable problems for the elderly. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of Frenkel balance exercise and aerobic exercise (walking) on improving the balance of elderly patients in Kerman province in 2016-2017.   Methods: We used a randomized block design, with 4 participants in each ...
